About Bette

Bette Cox 29 Oct 2009A native of Florence, South Carolina, I attended the University of South Carolina at Florence, now Francis Marion University. With my husband Tim Cox I owned and operated Executive Services of the Pee Dee, Inc., a business services company, from 1986 until shortly after Tim died in 2006.  I have served as a grassroots activist with many pro-life and pro-family issues-based campaigns, candidates and organizations from the late 1980’s to the present. Some would call me a radical right-wing activist… add Christian and pro-life and that would be close.

“Talk With Bette” was the title of a radio talk show I hosted for several years on 1230 AM, WOLS radio in Florence, SC. Interviews were conducted with a wide range of guests from university presidents to governors, authors, artists, civic leaders and politicians.

My motto was “If it interests me, it will interest you.” This blog is a little taste of the subjects some of those interviews may have covered.

See my resume on www.BetteCox.com for more details about my community service.
